Meetings/Support Groups offered by PFLAG Seattle
Coordinates support group meetings for people who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning or intersex (LGBTQI) as well as their families, friends and allies. Meetings include discussion on specific topics relevant to LGBTQI people and their families and friends. Discussions may also include an invited speaker or presentation, followed by support discussion as needed or requested by attendees. In support groups, volunteers share personal experiences and encourage group participation and sharing by all. Information is available to help individuals communicate with family and acquaintances on issues associated with being LGBTQI or a straight ally.

Call helpline for times and locations or visit website. Program provides four support group meetings a month.
Fee
None required; meeting/support group attendance is free. If membership is desired, dues are $50 per year per household, or $35 per year for individuals. A portion of the cost of the membership is forwarded to the PFLAG's national organization in Washington, D. C.
Eligibility
Serves parents, family members and friends of those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning and intersex (LGBTQI). Also serves LGBTQI individuals who need support with issues related to coming out and self-acceptance. Straight allies of LGBTQI community and issues are also welcome.
