Provides immediate, short-term disaster assistance for victims of fires, floods, earthquakes and other natural disasters. Assistance may include food, clothing, shelter, medical and occupational supplies and referrals. Local chapter does not accept blood donations or provide blood services, such as transport of blood.

Call during office hours. Direct assistance is also given by authorized volunteers at scene of disaster. Bilingual volunteers may be available to provide interpretation assistance to disaster victims. Visit website for a nationwide map showing all open Red Cross shelters.
