Support Groups offered at LifeWire

Support groups focus on crisis intervention and personal safety. There are seven groups with 10-12 people per group. Group locations are confidential; women do not have to be separated from their partner/abuser to attend.  Also provides support for battered women dealing with transition issues as they build different lifestyles.  Limited child care may be available.

Call 24-hour helpline for an appointment.  An intake is necessary before attending a support group.

Eligibility

Victims of domestic violence. Trans* clients are addressed with the pronouns requested and are treated as they identify. Teens are accepted on a case-by-case basis. Accepts families with various types of dependents, such as multi-generational families.  Accepts those with criminal history.
