Youth Education offered at Hugo House

Offers young writers the opportunity to explore, consume and create great writing. Classes encourage students to read as writers, to critique established work and the new work of their peers. The settings include writing circles, mentorship programs, open mics, writing camps and literary events. All programs, workshops and field trips are taught by professional and published writers who are also experienced teachers of the craft.

Offers over 300 adult writing classes throughout the year and scholarships are available. Presents events with renowned writers in the Lapis Theater within the facility. Youth education events serve youth 10-18. All youth programs are free unless otherwise specified. Scholarships are available for writing camps and field trips.
