Animal Control offered at City of Washougal

Works to address barking dog and dog bite complaints; lost and found dogs; neglected, abused, loose, and vicious dogs. Also responds to missing pet requests. Cats: With the exception of animal cruelty cases, state law and City ordinances do not allow officers to address issues regarding domestic felines. Wildlife Issues: Federal and state laws do not allow animal control officers to address problems, handle, relocate, or otherwise interfere with any types of wildlife, including but not limited to raccoon, opossum, birds, or other animals. Officers may be available to answer questions and assist on the scene until appropriate resources can be summoned to assist you.

Hours

Office: M-F, 9am-8pm, excluded holidays. Emergency: 24 hours per day / 7 days per week through the police department.

Application process

Call or visit website for more information. For reporting, an online form can be accessed through the "Report Animal Cruelty or Nuisances" button at the top of the agency website. If you have an emergency situation that is outside of Animal Control hours call 911. Any out-of-city limits needs should go through Clark County Animal Control.
