Medical Services offered by Seattle Fire Department at Fire Station 36

Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technicians and Firefighter/Paramedics respond to rescue/medical emergencies in Seattle.   All stations provide blood pressure readings during business hours.   Accepts newborn babies dropped off by the parent within 72 hours of birth.   The parent shall not be prosecuted and will remain anonymous, but will be asked for a medical history.

Application process

Call 911 and ask for the fire department.   The operator will immediately transfer the call to Seattle Fire.   Once dispatchers answer, be prepared to provide these details: -  Address of the emergency -  Information regarding type of emergency For inspections, call the Fire Marshal's Office.

Provides emergency firefighting and emergency medical services. Specialized units within the Operations Division include the Hazardous Materials Response Team, High Angle, Confined Space, Heavy Rescue, and Marine Fire Response Teams. Operations Division firefighters inspect commercial, multi-residential and waterfront facilities on an annual basis. The Mobile Integrated Health program, part of Seattle Fire, provides enhanced services to frequent 911 callers, highly complex patients, persons with non-emergent medical complaints and those with social needs. Non-emergency services provided by the department include fire inspection, Arson Hotline, blood pressure checks, and public education on fire prevention, bystander CPR and free smoke alarms. Rescues animals from fires or other emergency incidents but does not rescue animals during non-emergency incidents.
