Trained volunteers provide objective information about Medicare and related programs in individual consultations by phone or email, and Zoom classes. Information is provided on enrollment, costs and benefits, prescription coverage, and low-income assistance. Unbiased and confidential. SHIBA is a state-funded program sponsored by Island Senior Resources, under the guidance of the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner. Island Senior Resources serves all of Island County with locations in Bayview (South Whidbey), Oak Harbor, and Camano Island.
