Fire Safety Inspections offered by Seattle Fire Department's Fire Marshal

Examines structures for fire and life safety hazards such as:   -  Blocked or locked exits -  Tall dry grass -  Improperly stored combustible materials   Reports on hazardous structures may be made anonymously by anyone.   Parties responsible for the hazard are issued a violation notice that orders correction of the danger within a prescribed time period.

Seattle Fire Department

Provides emergency firefighting and emergency medical services. Specialized units within the Operations Division include the Hazardous Materials Response Team, High Angle, Confined Space, Heavy Rescue, and Marine Fire Response Teams. Operations Division firefighters inspect commercial, multi-residential and waterfront facilities on an annual basis. The Mobile Integrated Health program, part of Seattle Fire, provides enhanced services to frequent 911 callers, highly complex patients, persons with non-emergent medical complaints and those with social needs. Non-emergency services provided by the department include fire inspection, Arson Hotline, blood pressure checks, and public education on fire prevention, bystander CPR and free smoke alarms. Rescues animals from fires or other emergency incidents but does not rescue animals during non-emergency incidents.
