Administers the Basic Food (SNAP) program, medical programs (for seniors and adults with disabilities), and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), including the Diaper Related Payment benefit. Also offers emergency medical programs, food assistance, and one-time cash payments to get or keep safe housing or utilities or for fleeing domestic violence. Diaper Related Payment benefit: $100 monthly using the same payment method (EBT, EFT or warrant). DSHS partners with Washington 211 (Greater Columbia 211) to help complete SNAP applications and recertifications.
