Garbage, Recycling, Food & Yardwaste Collection offered at Seattle Public Utilities

Coordinates curbside pickup of : - Garbage   - Recycling - Yard waste( includes free raked leaves and Christmas trees) - free extra yard waste collection during month of November - free Christmas tree composting Dec 26-Jan 31st. Provides garbage containers in several sizes. Recycling items collected include:   -  Cans and bottles -  Paper goods, including newspapers and magazines -  Milk, juice and soy milk containers   -  Round plastic containers -  Plastic bags (bagged together)   -  Ferrous metals (items that stick to a magnet but only if they are clean and free of plastic, wood, rubber, etc. )    Seattle residents are supplied with free containers for recycled goods.   Flyers explaining recycling are available in a variety of languages.

Fee

Free Recycling pick-up. Free extra yard waste pickup Nov. 1-30, when customers are asked to rake leaves out of drains to prevent flooding. Free Christmas tree collection on food and yard waste collection day, Dec. 26 - Jan. 31. Call or check website for rates on non-free services.
