2024 - Christmas Gifts offered at Toy Rescue Mission
Providing gifts of new and "previously loved" items to children in need who are 15 and younger. Gifts include toys, books and stuffed animals. Stocking stuffers may also be provided while supplies last. Distribution Guaranteed only as long as toys last. Custodial parents will have to bring all of the proper documentation.

Application process
Bring the required documentation. If you have a special circumstance, please call ahead and inquire instead of showing up on a shopping day without documents. The shopping days are based on the first letter of the last name of the parent who is picking out gifts. There are three days per letter grouping. Check facebook for any schedule changes. A-D: December 3rd (Tu), 9:30am-5:30pm; 12th (Th) 9:30am-5:30pm; E-L: December 5th (Th), 9:30am-5:30pm; 13th (F), 9:30am-5:30pm; M-R: December 6th (F), 9:30am-5:30pm; 10th (Tu), 9:30am-5:30pm; S-Z: December 7th (Sa), 9:30am-5:30pm; 11th (W), 9:30am-530pm. Last shopping days (if supplies last): December 17th (Tu), 9am-7pm; 19th (Th), 9am-7pm; Closed noon-1pm both days; 21st (Sa), 10am-4pm. Do NOT bring children to this event. Helpful Information - Parking in the lot is reserved for those with a Handicapped Parking Permit - All others, please park on side streets, or at a nearby shopping center - No parking at Tacoma Boys - they will have cars towed.

Donations are accepted, but not required.
Eligibility
Pierce County families with children 15 and younger. Families who were served by any Toy Rescue Mission program in 2022 AND 2023 will not be eligible this year. Families who were served only in 2023 can be served in 2024, but will have to skip 2025. Child must be in the physical custody of the parent or guardian that is coming to obtain the toys, be a dependent and live in the home. Grandparents must show proof of custody. Foster children must be relative placement with proper documents.

The TRM is involved in restoring new "life" to "previously loved" toys. After being refurbished, the toys are then donated to needy children throughout Pierce County. Also serves those in battered women's shelters and other social service agencies. Primary services are Birthday Gifts, Easter Baskets, Back to School and Christmas Gifts. Volunteers are welcome.
