Provides food assistance through local neighborhood chapters via food pantries or through a gift card at grocery store.   Not all areas of King County are served by a chapter, and not all existing neighborhood chapters provide help with food.

Application process

Call the Help Line Center or fill out the Helpline Referral Request Form online. Intake specialists send callers' requests to the appropriate chapter. Chapter makes final determination of assistance they can offer. No in person services.

Works with a network of neighborhood-based parish conferences to assist families and individuals with a variety of basic needs and services, including food vouchers; rent and utility assistance; and household items such as beds, furniture, clothing and bus tickets (when available). Not all areas in King County are served by a SVdP chapter. Not all existing neighborhood chapters can provide financial assistance. Some are also limited on the amount of assistance given per month, week or day.
