Basic Digital Skills Course offered at Goodwill of the Olympics and Rainier Region
Designed for those who are new to using computers or need a refresher to gain skills necessary to find a job, take online training courses, or work towards a promotion. In this class, participants will learn: - Internet basics - Internet navigation tips - Using email - Using Microsoft Windows 10 - Introduction to Microsoft Word - Information literacy - Typing skills Two-week course meets in-person on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1pm - 4pm. Class is offered monthly at Goodwill Work Opportunity Centers in Tacoma & Longview, and is expanding to Union Gap & Lacey campuses. Even with no experience, people can learn job-ready computer skills now through Goodwill’s Basic Digital Skills course. This class provides accommodations for students with disabilities.

Hosts a Digital Work Opportunity Center that is accessible to anyone with an internet connected device. Work Opportunity Centers provide Vocational Job training and Life Skills classes that are open to the community. Operate a licensed Vocational Training School and numerous community-based training and support programs, providing thousands of people throughout the 15-county region the education and life skills they need to achieve long-term success. Programs are based on the current needs of the communities served, and the goal is to have each person leave a programs with the tools necessary to gain employment and a career path.
