Provides Christmas food voucher and toys for low-income families that include children ages 17 and younger in eligible ZIP codes. Each qualifying family registers for an appointment in December, where one adult member of the household will pick up a food gift card and toys for the children at CenturyLink Field in a drive thru tent.

Eligibility

Low-income families (self-declared) with children ages 17 and younger in household.  Families including those that are homeless living within these zip codes: 98101, 98102, 98104, 98108( excluding South Park-please contact White Center Corps), 98109, 98112, 98118, 98119, 98121, 98122, 98134, 98144, and 98199. For ZIP code 98108, only serves those living east of the Duwamish (Georgetown and Beacon Hill). Does not serve South Park.

The Salvation Army's Social Services Department in Seattle provides multiple services, including a food pantry, shelters (congregate, men and women), and an emergency assistance program providing limited help to eligible applicants with basic needs such as rent, utilities, toiletries, diapers, and baby formula. Applications for Seattle Social Services Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA) program are accepted from the 1st until the 10th of each month for the following zip code regions: 98101, 98102, 98104, 98108 (excluding South Park), 98109, 98112, 98118, 98119, 98121, 98122, 98134, 98144, and 98199. The Salvation Army provides rental assistance for move-in fees (first month's rent) and past due rent. Unfortunately, they do not assist with moving trucks, hotel vouchers, damage deposits, pet deposits, or last month's rent. They provide utility assistance for electric, trash, sewage, water, and gas past due amounts. They do not assist with cable, internet services, car repairs, furniture, mattresses, or medical bills.
