Promotes early detection and treatment of glaucoma. Raises awareness of glaucoma risk factors. Provides free glaucoma educational materials and facilitates access to a glaucoma eye exam.

Application process
Visit Referral Center on website to determine eligibility. Those at increased risk for glaucoma are referred to a participating ophthalmologist in their area. Risk factors for glaucoma include person's age, race and having a family history of glaucoma.
Fee
Patients with health insurance will be billed according to the doctor's office procedure and are responsible for any fees not covered by insurance. For patients without insurance, the fees are waived. Service does not cover eyeglasses, prescription drugs, hospital services or fees of other medical professionals.
Eligibility
U. S. citizens or legal residents who have not had an eye exam in 12 months or more and who are at increased risk for glaucoma, based on age, race, and family history of glaucoma. Applicants must not belong to a HMO or receive eye care benefits through the Veteran's Administration.
