Outpatient Treatment offered at Providence St. Peter Chemical Dependency Center
Outpatient treatment is delivered in a group setting with individual counseling sessions. Groups offered include those for substance use disorder, mental health disorder, co-occurring disorders and problem gambling disorder. Also has a specialty group for patients who have anxiety and/or depression. The group people participate in has specific treatment goals and meets on a regular schedule, and can take place during the day or evening. The outpatient program is designed to provide additional support for those who have completed a specific phase of treatment or who need additional skills with relapse prevention. Can also provide brief screening and intervention. Utilizes Biopsychosocial assessments that determine the level of impairment caused from substance use disorder. Findings are used to develop an individualized plan.

Application process
Assessments are scheduled by drop-in only. Come in person M-F, 8am-4pm to fill out preliminary paperwork and have insurance benefits verified. An assessment may be completed at the same time or scheduled for a later date, depending on counselor availability. Process typically takes between 15-20 minutes, but may take longer if there is difficulty reaching the insurance company.
Fee
Private insurance, Medicare and Apple Health (Medicaid) accepted. Payment plans and other funding options available for low-income/indigent persons.
Eligibility
Adults and adolescents for substance use disorder treatment. Adults for problem gambling disorder treatment, although some outreach and education available for adolescents. Adults for mental health and co-occurring disorder treatment.

Providence St. Peter Chemical Dependency Center (PSPCDC) has provided chemical dependency treatment services since 1986. Offers assessments, intensive outpatient and outpatient treatment, for both adults and adolescents, for substance use disorders. We now offer mental health services, including treatment for those with both a substance use and mental health disorder. Also offers evaluation and outpatient treatment for problem gambling and community tobacco cessation classes.
