Fair Employment Ordinance offered at King County Office of Equity and Social Justice
Investigates complaints of discrimination in employment for employers with eight or more employees located in unincorporated King County, and for employees of King County government and contractors with King County. It is against the law to discriminate because of a person's race, color, age, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, religion, ancestry, national origin or disability.

Investigates and resolves complaints regarding alleged discrimination in employment, housing, public accommodations and contracting occurring in unincorporated King County or against King County as an employer. Also investigates alleged discrimination in agencies and companies under contract with the King County government and ensures disability access to county government services, programs and facilities for people with disabilities. When possible, KCCR resolves complaints through mediated settlement.
