After a local disaster such as a house fire, flood, or an earthquake; Red Cross disaster relief volunteers help families rebuild their lives by providing for their immediate emergency needs such as temporary shelter, food, clothing, medication replacement, and emotional support.

Application process

Call during office hours and when possible schedule an appointment to meet with caseworker.   Following a disaster, Red Cross emergency assistance is available 24 hours a day, by following options during phone call for after hours emergency assistance.

None.

Eligibility

Serves victims of natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and fires who are unable to meet their immediate disaster-caused needs with their own resources.   Services not available for requests for anything non-disaster related such as assistance for transportation/travel, electricity/utilities, and rent.
