Housing Discrimination Assistance offered at Fair Housing Center of Washington

Agency dedicated to ending illegal discrimination and enforcing the federal Fair Housing Act for residents of Western and Central Washington. Services include complaint investigation, advocacy, education and information and referral. Federal law prohibits discrimination because of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, presence of children (except in "senior only" housing), sexual orientation, marital status, or military/veteran status.

Fair Housing Center of Washington

Provides fair housing education to housing consumers and providers, as well as investigation and enforcement of fair housing laws to address discriminatory practice in rental, sales, financing, and insurance. Provides consultation and training on application of the federal Fair Housing Act and applicable state/local fair housing laws including request for reasonable accommodation and modifications. Does not provide landlord tenant counseling or housing assistance.
