Our Mission: Kitsap Humane Society (KHS) is an independent nonprofit committed to providing positive life changing solutions to people and animals in need. We do so by: 1.) Accepting, sheltering and rehabilitating companion animals in need. 2.) Providing humane rescue, protection, prevention, adoption and education services. 3.) Implementing progressive life-saving and life-affirming programs. 4.) Collaborating and partnering with our region and supporters to build a model humane community. Our vision is that every adoptable companion animal has a home. KHS also investigates animal cruelty and assists in emergency animal rescues. We have educational programs for schools and the general public, additionally, provide animal assisted therapy, where pets are shared with nursing home residents. Our organization is a 501c3 tax-exempt organization funded thanks to the generosity of our donors. We take donations in various forms including car donations.
