Midwifery Services offered at Neighborcare Health's Columbia City Clinic
Provides holistic pregnancy (prenatal) care, delivery and postpartum care (after baby is born) through certified nurse-midwives who have gone through advanced training to care for patients across the life span. Midwives attempt to reduce Cesarean-section rates, traumatic deliveries and unneeded medical intervention. Connects patients with community resources, and helps them understand their health care options. Deliveries are at Swedish First Hill Birth Center.

Operates nearly 30 sites in Seattle, Vashon Island and Olympia that provide general medical care, dental care, integrated behavioral health, social services, insurance enrollment assistance, and midwifery care. Not all services offered at all locations. Three sites coordinate a drop-in homeless youth clinic. Another is a site of WIC. Additionally one site serves only homeless adult, and they have school-based health centers in 15 Seattle and Vashon schools. Apple Health/Medicaid, Medicare and most insurance plans accepted. Insurance is not required. Discounts available and no one is turned away if unable to pay.
