Provides Thanksgiving and Holiday food choices are offered to clients during November and December. Food Bank clients will be given a choice of holiday food items in addition to their regular food supply. Provides gifts for area children.

Application process
Register for gifts in-person at the Food Bank, on-line, or by using the QR code that is on area posters and flyers distributed through Peninsula School District. Registration is usually done in the first few weeks of November.

Eligibility
Low-income individuals and families, with additional services for those living in the Gig Harbor, Key Peninsula, Fox Island areas. Gifts for children aged K-12.

Provides a variety of services to the greater Gig Harbor/Peninsula residents including a food bank, clothing, small household goods, emergency financial assistance for rent or utility bills, emergency transportation to medical appointments, and basic information and referral. Registered, independent, volunteer 501©3 nonprofit organization founded in 1976. Mission: “Neighbor helping neighbor in need with food and other assistance as they move toward self-sufficiency.” A volunteer led and governed organization with more than 275 volunteers and 3 part-time staff (1.5 FTE). Serves the greater Gig Harbor area and the Key Peninsula. Due to the generosity of supporters in the community, last year were able to provide 6,467* family visits to the food bank, serving 16,263* individuals, which included 5,778* children. Provided $475,767 in financial aid. And, $.97 of every dollar goes to client programs and services. *Includes repeat visits.
