Kwacil Scouts offered at Seattle Indian Health Board

Offers a program intended to engage youth in culturally relevant outdoor activities. Meetings and activities are held twice monthly. Troops are active year-round, are child and family-led, with SIHB hosting family gatherings to plan and organize events. Kwacil Scouts is organized by the Seattle Indian Health Board (SIHB) and affiliated with Boy and Girls Scouts of America.

None. SIHB provides financial assistance for all registration fees, uniforms and other associated costs.

Eligibility

Youth, ages 5-18 who self-identify as American Indian/Alaska Native.

Provides medical, dental, mental health, chemical dependency, outpatient youth services and community education services with a focus on the American Indian and Alaska Native community. Offers maternal and infant health services as well as the WIC program. Additionally provides emergency assistance and safety planning for victims of domestic violence.
