Agency info
Yelm Senior Center
The overall mission of Yelm Senior Center is to respond to the needs of senior citizens by providing free or low-cost services in the areas of nutrition, health, exercise, recreation and education. Yelm Senior Center is a non-profit, self-supporting organization. It is through grants, yearly membership fees and money-making projects that we are able to keep the center open and provide services to the community. Dues are $50 a year. "3rd Tuesday Talks" are held the third Tuesday of each month, starting at 12:30pm. Refreshments are served and they are always open to the public. We have had the Fire Marshall speak on fire safety in the home, an experienced quilter, two different authors who did book signings, a talk on recycling, among other topics. We have treats the 2nd Tuesday of the month, following lunch, to celebrate the current month birthdays!
