Operates a Thrift Store in Tacoma off of South Tacoma Way. Provides affordable clothing and household goods, on-the-job training through the Second-Chance Employment Program and offers emergency assistance through the Community Resource Center (CRC) to provide basic needs to help neighbors in need facing an immediate crisis. The CRC is located adjacent to the Thrift Store and walk-ins are okay. No referral is needed.

Anyone can shop at or donate to St. Vincent. Those needing assistance from the St. Vincent de Paul Society can drop by the Community Resource Center M W F Sa Su 10am-3pm, contact their local church, or email Mission Outreach at assistance@svdptacoma.org.

St. Vincent de Paul also operates a program called Mission Outreach to provide financial and material assistance to those facing an immediate crisis. Assistance from Mission Outreach is provided by contacting an affiliated Catholic Church in the zip code where the person in need resides. Additional assistance from Mission Outreach can also be provided by calling the SVdP Tacoma Help Line but may take 48-72 hours to return a call due to the high volume of incoming calls. Those needing assistance from the Help Line are encouraged to email assistance@svdptacoma.org. Or, they can visit the newly opened Community Resource Center located next to the Thrift Store to accommodate walk-ins Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10am - 3pm. The Community Resource Center also houses the Hispanic & Immigrant Family Support Program, which helps Latino & immigrant families with case management in Spanish, access to community resources, legal assistance, education (including ESL) and more.
